Our Main Strategic Objectives

The strategic objective of RLM is to collaborate with key stakeholders to mobilize resources and increase impacts and ensure sustainability in the target communities. Networking, collaborating, and alliance will be strengthened to meet the target objectives.

Target countries/Regions

Ethiopia, Addis Ababa and Afar Region.

Target Groups

 

RLM will target the following groups.

  • People who have been severely affected by poverty, famine, and drought.
  • People who have been affected by mental health problems.
  • Victims of conflicts and natural disasters.
  • Visible minorities experiencing discrimination and stigma.

PROGRAM THEMATIC AREAS

In 2021/22, RLM successfully raised funds and secured in-kind donations from various donor organizations based in Canada, specifically in the province of Manitoba. However, when compared to the urgent needs in the country, particularly in regions like Afar, there is still much more work to be done to support those affected by droughts, famines, and various diseases.

RLM has developed its five years strategic plan that serves for the next five years 2022-2027. Key stakeholders have been involved in the development of the strategic plan. The plan is intended to guide the interventions in Canada and Ethiopia to ensure effective implementation of activities and efficient utilization of resources.

Thus, this is kindly to request your organization to partner with us to provide meaningful support for people in Afar region who urgently need humanitarian assistance. We commit ourselves relentlessly to seek grants and donations that will help the target communities.
